Artist Bio

From the solitude of her quiet home studio in the woods, and in her stunning, Pacific Northwest- inspired paintings, Bellingham Resident, Kristy Carrico brings to life the colors and richness of the views and landscapes that surround her each day. Self-Taught, and with nature as her backdrop, Kristy has an innate talent for allowing her surroundings to inspire her, and to bring those picturesque landscapes to life with color, depth and composition.

Kristy was raised on a farm in rural Kuna, Idaho. Upon graduation from college, Kristy joined the United States Coast Guard and enjoyed time in Kodiak, Alaska and Brookings, Oregon, where she met her soulmate, Norm. After raising a family, with a background in nature and landscape photography, her propensity for creativity eventually drew her to put brush to canvas, beginning with acrylics as her medium and progressing from there to her preferred method of working with oils.  She found her passion and has fallen in love.  You’ll fall in love with Kristy’s works of art, too.
